With Winter on fast approach in Australia, I'm often on the look out for fun indoor activities to do, should I get trapped indoors by the rain or just not feel like leaving the house due to chilly winds. There's an abundance of free stuff available on the internet, and I've recently started enjoying the fun suggestions and printables on offer with Crayola.

The Fun Stuff

Crayola is a well known brand name as a producer of quality craft and art paraphernalia for the whole family. However, unless you've visited their website in recent times, the chances are that you've been missing out on some free inspiration for colourful fun, so here's a low down on what you can enjoy:

  • Colouring In Sheets

  • Over 65 pages of printable colouring in sheets, including some favourites from Disney. There are also 'featured' colouring in printables for popular events such as Mother's Day, Christmas or Easter.

  • Online Kids Playzone

  • Away from the practical suggestions, you can also hop online and explore some of the free fun and games on offer from Crayola. With some parental help needed on certain sections, kids can design and print their own colouring in pages (perfect for parties), transform themselves into a cartoon, create their own stationary and enjoy some downtime on the fun games such as creating their own colourful fireworks, or building their own snowman.

  • Apps

  • Kids will love the range of free apps from Crayola

Crayola have a great range of apps for kids to enjoy and the best part is they are mostly all free.

    Here's a few to consider:
    1) Crayola Lights, Camera, Colour - where your child can take a picture and then colourfully edit and play with their picture adding special effects and wacky accessories until their masterpiece is ready.

    2) Crayola Fashion Show - where budding fashionistas can make their own catwalk creations, and show create designs of their own.

    3) Crayola Colourstudio HD - where your iPad is transformed into a world your kids will enjoy through colours and animation. Use with the iMarker, which feels like a Crayola marker for optimum fun.
