Over the hot summer it's important to keep the kids hydrated. What are your top tips to clean kids water bottles and keep them fresh and hygienic? (Especially those ones you find lurking at the bottom of a bag a few days later!)

If you want to discourage mould growth, rinse the bottles and lids in a vinegar solution after washing.

The rinse will also remove any residual detergent, so drinks won't taste bad.
To wash them really well you should first pull apart the pieces, rinse them well in warm water and use a bottle brush to get into all the corners. Next leave them in a container or large bowl to soak in boiled water. Then allow them to air dry and they ar ready to go.
Some great advice already.

I have dishwasher safe bottles and run them through on a normal cycle too.
