I have heard of Montessori-based schools, but I don't understand how they are different. Is Montessori the best option for all children? Can the principles be utilised at home? What are the benefits?

I would really like to know the same thing. I have been on the Montessori websites and they describe their philosophy as meeting the children's individual needs, and they do things differently such as the children have to stay in their seats the whole class, but the websites really don't give enough information about it.
