Anaemia or Iron deficiency is a common condition among growing children and especially teenage girls.
Many a times the diet falls short of providing the daily recommended dose of iron. Dark leafy vegetables, apricots, beans, cereals, lentils, dates, eggs, lean meat are rich sources of iron. Citrus fruits provide Vitamin C which in turn helps in absorbing iron. Same goes with onions and garlic.

You can use the following items to create a healthy, iron-rich drink:
20 black grapes OR dried black raisins soaked in some water
1/2 bowl pomegranate seeds
2 tbsp lemon or orange fresh juice
Blend these together and drink fresh. It tastes delicious and your kids will surely love it.
