Simple sticker reward board

Potty training has been a bit hit and miss with my son and I have to admit I did resort to chocolate button rewards. While they worked and I was so pleased everytime we avoided an accident, I must admit I started to worry about rewarding with chocolate.

One day my son spotted a little sticker on an apple and was over the moon when I put it on his jumper. I suddenly realised that the smile on his face from a simple sticker was much greater than the chocolate button smile.

We made the move to sticker rewards a mini event. My son painted a paper plate in his favourite colour and we chose some sparkly stickers at a local shop together.

Now he's rewarded with stickers, cuddles and praise and I can avoid the chocolate guilt.
