Scooters are loads of fun for kids of all ages, and are a really effective way to travel. The Micro Sprite scooter is a fantastic first two-wheel scooter. It is aimed at 5 year olds to adults, although my nearly 4 year old can manage hers with good control.
It folds up easily and the folded scooter can be stowed away in the bottom of a pushchair, making it a great way to travel with an older child and a younger one in a pushchair. There are two buttons which can be pushed in to take the handle bars off completely, allowing the scooter to fold into a compact rectangular shape - great for travel.

Lugs push in to easily remove the handlebars
The chassis is made of metal and is sturdy but lightweight. The polyurethane wheels are good quality and can ride over bumpy ground easily.

There is a little kickstand which flips out, allowing the scooter to stand up by itself.

The handles have comfortable foam grips. The handlebar height can be altered between 63 cm and 93cm accommodating preschoolers to adults.
Handlebar height is easily adjusted to fit any height of rider
The scooters come in a range of bright colours: red, pink, blue and black.
At $149.50 inc delivery in Australia from the Micro website, it's not a cheap scooter. However, the quality is excellent and it's an investment purchase which will last for years.
