Decorating your house in a way that is at the same time stylish and kid-friendly could be considered a challenge. Fortunately, there are lots of things you can do to incorporate some fun motives, colors and patterns in order to create something that would appeal both to you and your children. These are some ideas on how to decorate your bathroom and make bath time a fun experience.

The best way to make your bathroom more kid-friendly is to incorporate a theme that your children would enjoy. Some sea motives are always a good choice for a bathroom design. For instance, you could paint the walls in blue and draw some waves and even some sea animals like dolphins, whales and octopuses in order to create an underwater setting. Another good idea is to use simple things like shower curtains and towels with images of pirates or mermaids. You could incorporate some bathroom rugs in the shape of a fish or a turtle.

Make sure your bathroom has a special space where you can keep some of your childrenís toys. The best thing to do is choose a shelf or two that will be easily accessible, so they can easily choose the toys by themselves. Depending of what your children like try to make a diverse choice of toys. Some rubber ducks, submarines†, sea animals and dolls should always find a place on their shelves.

Make all of the fixtures in your bathroom more kid-friendly just by switching the normal fixtures with adjustable ones. This is a great thing as it can easily be adjusted for the needs of everyone, even the youngest members of the family. Some bath or shower enclosures offer a shower bar to hold an adjustable showerhead and hand shower. It is easy to use and you will save a lot of time and patience just by making a simple switch.

When it comes to the toilet be sure to be smart about the size. When your children grow out of the potty period it may seem like a good idea to install a smaller toilet that would be more accessible to them. This may be the case, but keep in mind that your children will grow quite fast and that you might need to change your toilet more often. Bathroom renovations Sydney have great deals when it comes to installing any kind of toilets and other bathroom necessities. Perhaps installing a regular size toilet and adding a small stool next to it could be a good idea for starters.

There are lots of ways to make your bathroom more accessible and fun for your children. Adding just a couple of things and switching from conventional showers to more kid-friendly ones can easily make your bathroom a great place for both you and your children. Make sure when choosing the design to ask your children for their opinion. Perhaps you could even incorporate some of their drawings on the walls. It is always better to choose together and create something that would be enjoyable for the whole family. Make bath time something that your kids would look forward to.
