Christmas is just around the corner which signals the end for another great year for the toy industry. For us parents it’s been an expensive year getting our kids everything they want, but no amount of saved money is worth missing the looks on your childs face when they unwrap their favourite new toy.
So now that the year is behind us, as we start looking into 2016 (We’ll we start thinking about looking at it...We’ll consider it more after Christmas!), here are my predictions for what will be the hottest toy brands with our kids next year!
1. Micro Scooters
Throughout 2015, MicroScooters has grown leaps and bounds. They are now the leading brand in folding scooters that were originally pioneered in the early 2000’s, but are more stable and easier for kids to use. On the back of their continual growth I’d suggest budgeting to get your kid one as if they don’t already, they're going to be nagging you very soon.
KidKraft are bringing retro toys back to the mainstream, and with a range of quality sellers behind them, they are doing it quickly! KidKraft specialise in high quality wooden toys and furniture just like the ones that we used to play with while growing up.
3. I’m Toy
Watch out for this fast growing Thai toy company that you’d expect to be European! Their range is creative, innovative and full of good fun. From wooden blogs, through to the hugely popular Melody Mix, I’m Toy have got one of the best offerings that we’ve seen, so we’re expecting big things from them in 2016!
This might be a long shot, but I expect to see Lego make a solid comeback in 2016. They’ve been producing some mediocre stuff in times of late, but they’ve always thrived off the back of Star Wars themed kits. If you’re kids don’t have a few Star Wars drone kits, then they’ll be asking for them soon enough.
The last, but not least on this list is Action. Action supplies a range of safe, yet super fun trampolines, slides, swings and other outdoor play equipment. Where most of the world is pushing towards electronic toys, I think Action has the quality in their offering that they’ll stand out from the crowd and help get your kids outdoors and active again. Even if your kids don’t directly ask for it, it might be worth grabbing them some Action Toys to keep them active and healthy!
