Here are some lovely bonding time games you can play with your baby.
1) In the bathtub:
Get an empty soft drink bottle and and cut holes in it. Show baby how to fill it up with water and then shake the water out and watch it flow out of the holes. Baby will love this and be entertained as you clean them.
2) Powder fun
When changing baby give them a bit of powder in their hands. As you rub powder on them sing, "Power powder on your tummy, on your tummy, powder powder on your tummy, boo!" when you sing boo, give them a tickle. As you put the powder on different parts of their body, include that in the song.
3) Peek a boo.
Show baby that just because you can't be seen, it doesn't mean you're not around. Hide behind a couch, blanket, or in a another room to say "Peeka boo!" and give them a smile. Baby will soon learn that you're still around even if they can't see you.
4) Dance, Dance
Put on some light music or baby music and hold baby in your hands and have a gentle dance. Its great for bonding and will sooth baby to sleep.
5) Random objects
Make up a box of random objects for baby to touch, see and explore. Things such as empty shampoo bottles, cups, egg beaters, bicycle bells, etc. At the right time get out one of the objects and hold it in front of baby. They'll want to reach for it have a look what it does. Switch objects every few minutes
