Its official...The flu season is upon us along with all the joys that it usually brings.If you’re not careful you’re kids will soon be coming home with dripping noses, stuffy heads and searing fevers.

No parent likes seeing their kids like this, and no child likes getting sick (Besides getting to stay home from school), so to help you out, below are 6 powerful ways to boost your children's immune system and to keep them healthy this flu season!
1. Turmeric

Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant that is often overlooked by western society. Not only does it contain powerful anti-depressant properties, but it is also great and clearing the head and boosting the immune system.
How to use it: Brew a 1cm chunk in a tea pot with some lemon, ginger and honey.
2. Garlic

For years Garlic has been known to ward off colds and flu’s. Its anti-inflammatory properties also help beat sore throats quick. In recent years there has been a surge in garlic supplements on the market, however as with all supplements they don’t pack the punch of the real thing, so where you can use fresh garlic.
How to use it: peal a bulb of garlic, put it in a small ramekin or mug, cover with olive oil, and bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the garlic is soft. Once it cools you’ll have a delicious garlic spread which you can add to toast to get your kids consuming large amounts of this super food.
3. Ginger

How to use it: Make a juice with cucumber, lemon and ginger. Sweeten with Stevia or honey as needed.
