Before my first son was born, I had grand ideas about decorating his bedroom. This involved some jungle curtains and a large mural painted by myself. My son arrived a couple of weeks early and three years later and another kid, I realised I would never get enough time to paint a mural. Luckily my mum came to the rescue and ran up some curtains with material I bought online.
Having heard of large stickers designed especially for walls, I had a rigorous search of the Internet and bought a set of Monkey stickers from StickersWall.
In a relatively short space of time you can transform a room. The stickers came in two large rolls with pictorial instructions of how to connect the tree. Initially I was slightly worried that it wasn't all in one piece but it's easier to put up in sections and looks like one piece once on the wall.
The stickers had no white edges so could be put on any colour of wall. They were easy to apply and I found that if I hadn't stuck them down firmly I could peel off and adjust where needed.
It was an easy step by step process to apply to the wall, just peel, stick and press down firmly. I started with a monkey on a branch to get me going, commencing with the branch and then adding the vine, monkey and leaves. The set I bought also included a large tree, extra monkeys, giraffe and lots of leaves.
My top tip to creating lots of personality in the room is to plan the location of your stickers first. I placed the tree on the largest blank wall, the giraffe standing on my sons bed and a monkey swinging from his curtain rail.
If you're looking for an easy decorating idea with lots of impact then why not try some wall stickers. My son has given them the thumbs up. Now I just need to decorate my youngest's bedroom, wall stickers, here we come.
