I recently sold my double stroller and wanted to replace it with a single stroller for my younger child. I wanted to buy one which could (1) face both directions (2) hold plenty of stuff (3) accommodate a growing toddler. I also didn't want to spend a fortune.
The
Baby Jogger City Versa seemed to be the best match and I have been very pleased with it so far.

Baby Jogger City Versa
(1) Bi-directional seat
The seat clips out easily and can be turned to face forwards or backwards (unlike the Baby Jogger City Select). Having a seat which can face the person pushing is great for chatting together as you walk. The seat can be reclined fully either way - great for naps.

The seat can face both directions
(2) Baggage capacity
The storage net under the stroller is huge and can be easily accessed even when the seat is fully reclined.

Huge storage space
(3) Longevity
The seat is spacious, has a 50 lb capacity and is taller than many of the other options, so it is perfect for bigger toddlers and preschoolers.
(4) Cost
Ours cost $599 on sale from
Bubs. This was half the price of a Bugaboo Chameleon. The Bugaboo is undoubtedly a more premium option with a higher overall specification. However, the Versa represents great overall value for money.
Other noteworthy features
The stroller folds down very flat with a "one handed fold mechanism". To fold the stroller, you unclip the safety tabs and collapse it by pulling on a cord which runs underneath the stroller. This is extremely smooth, quick and easy to do and was a real bonus for me.

Simply unclip the safety tabs then pull the cord to collapse the stroller

Fold flat. You can also fold it with the seat in place
The brake is operated with a side clip versus a foot pedal. This is really neat and easy to do.

Optional extras are the rain cover, drinks holder of toddler tray. These are all an additional cost.

The tray costs extra but is a useful addition for toddlers

The sun hood provides good shade. There are two little windows which can be opened to have a peek in. They are held closed with neat magnets

The handlebar has good grip and can be height adjusted
Overall, the Baby Jogger City Versa is a great value option, perfect for a toddler. It will last as long as your toddler/preschooler is willing to ride!
