If you're looking for a great first shoe for your little one, it's worth heading over to Attipas Shoes to check out their innovative infant range that are just the perfect fit for pre-walkers all the way up to 40 months. I've recently tried out this product on my 8 month old, who is happily taking tiny steps with his walker, and trying to chase after his older brother.

Why Attipas
The Attipas range of shoes offer a different approach to infant footwear that I haven't previous seen or heard of. The shoes are as light as a sock but offer a supportive sole that has been ergonomically designed to offer exactly the right support that little feet require. Attipas were developed by Mumpreneur Caroline Africh, whose own son Henry, is a proud Attipas shoe wearer.

How Are They Different
This is no overnight shoe development; Attipas toddler shoes have been a long time in the making, following 7 years of research and development at the Seoul University. From this well researched beginning, Attipas was able to bring to market a shoe that has been tried and tested to fuse together the very best of design concepts and functionality. These are just some of the benefits that Attipas shoes provide for the tiny feet in your household:

Convenience - These shoes get a high five from happy mums the world over for being machine washable and quick to dry. Additionally, Attipas shoes provide a strong, non slip support to wearers, in a funky range of designs for the most discerning of footwear fashionistas.

Breathable - These internationally patented shoes include fine holes to release heat that make the footwear breathable; a great feature considering how sweaty little feet seem to get.

Toe Movement - Unlike other infant shoes on the market that can be quite constricting, these shoes were developed to allow and accommodate for free toe movement which in turn promotes cognitive and motor development.

Safety First - No hazardous materials or adhesives are used in the creation of these shoes; this includes no use of Formaldehyde.

Light and Flexible - These shoes really are light as a feather so your child will happily slip them on and not feel constricted by the shoe. It is literally like slipping a sock onto an infants foot, and due to the natural bend and stretch of the footwear, you don't feel like you are working against your child's natural movements.

A happy customer

My Experience
These shoes are a completely different take on infant footwear, which take a running leap away from traditional shoes that are heavy and constricting on tiny toes. I love the fact that they are as light as a sock which means that my little boys tentative new steps aren't being weighed down. The gentle support that is provided is flexible, and the non slip soles are a great aide to early walking on indoor surfaces. As a busy mum of two boys, the fact that these shoes are washable and quick to dry is a great feature, one that I know will come in handy after numerous trips to the park. There is a great selection of designs available and if I had a daughter, I don't know how I would choose between all the cute patterns.

Look at all these designs

I know that some kids don't like the sensation of suddenly having footwear on their feet after months of going barefoot or with socks, however, due to the lightweight nature of the Attipas shoes my son didn't mind me putting the shoes on his feet as all. As an added benefit, I would imagine that if a child was trying to pull the shoe off their foot, the sock element of the design would help to keep the shoe on.

Attipas shoes offer a great, innovative product for kids footwear perfect for parents searching for something supportive for their children, yet also a shoe solution that fosters functionality, usability and a gorgeous range of designs to boot.

These would make a perfect baby shower gift
