Your mother may have told you never to use baby oil on your child, especially the scented ones. The best oil to use, if any, on dry skin of an infant is olive oil. Simple as that.
So I'm a new mum, my daughter is now 3 month old. The theory that if it says it is ok to use on your child, then it should be ok, is not all it's cracked up to be.
There are many brands of baby oil out there, and I as many others was under the assumption that they are safe to use on your infant.
They do not state a safe age to use their product. They do not warn you that their product may be harmful to your child.
My child was in agony after using baby oil. She screamed like I had never heard her scream before. It was like I had just burnt her whole body. Her screams were wore after using baby oil, than when she got two injections.
I do not recommend using baby oil on your infant. Listen to your mother not your partner. Do not make the same mistake so many of us have already made. Your child may have a bad reaction to baby oil too.
I don't want any other child to go through the unnecessary agony my child went through today. Be warned!
