The days of movie starlets sewing their own gowns for the Awards season are well and truly behind us. I canít picture Jennifer Lawrence burning the midnight oil on her mumís Singer, sewing on buttons or blind-stitching the hem of her gown. Whether youíre a slave to the latest trend or march to the beat of your own drum, we all have our style icons past and present that inspire our fashion choices. If you want to achieve celebrity chic on a budget, here are 7 tips to help get you started.

Womens Fashionable Clothes on A Budget
Fashionable women's clothing doesn't need to cost a fortune

1. Basics

It all begins with the basics, perfectly fitted underwear is the foundation of your outfit so no scrimping here! Invest in underwear that will appear seamless under a t-shirt and jeans or cocktail dress. Speaking of which, a fabulous pair of denim and well-cut basic tee is the go-to celebrity dressed down look and a great idea to have in your wardrobe.

2. Accessorise

Large sunglasses, floppy hats, costume jewellery and stylish handbags can update any outfit. If youíre a bit of a print-phobe and tend to buy basic styles in solid neutral or monochromatic palettes then accessories are the perfect way to give your ensemble an edge.

3. The Statement Piece

A statement piece is updates your wardrobe, meshes with your basics and complements your personal style. You donít have to break open your piggy bank, but you do want to push your boundaries and try something a little outside your comfort zone. Try clashing prints, textures and embellishments or give your denim a rest for the day and rock out a flirty frock or skirt. Personally I like clothes like this for your statement piece.

4. Shop for You

What Cara Delevingne is struttiní probably isnít going to fly on Kim Kardashian. See where Iím going with this? Keep your shape and colouring in mind and shop trends and styles that are going to compliment you and suit your lifestyle. If you stray too much from your personal style towards Lady Gaga, chances are it will never leave your wardrobe!

5. Mix and Match

Shop for separates and not outfits. Consider whatís already in your wardrobe, especially your favourite pieces, keep a list of the separates youíre stalking and check high-street stores for knock-offs. If youíre lusting after something really specific, setup an eBay saved search or request sale notifications from online stockists.

6. Recycle

Vintage, designer consignment and charity stores are veritable goldmines of recycled fashion and donít carry the same price tags as the current reproductions. Expect to spend some time sifting through the trash to find your treasure! Be savvy with your own wardrobe too, if that bubble dress took you a while to hunt down, thereís no need to give up on it just yet, the 80ís prom trend will come back round soon ;)

7. Trending

Jump on that mid-riff trend if youíve got the abs to work it and arenít going to walk around with your arms wrapped around your waist, face turning blue from sucking in your lunch. At the end of the day, confidence is what turns a ďlookĒ into a trend. If it suits your personal style, strut your stuff with your best steely model gaze and no one will dare to tell you differently.

Closing Word:

Fashion is only half of the battle. By staying vibrant and healthy you can also help increase how beautiful you look in any outfit. Juicing is a very easy way to boost your vibrancy and energy to help you pull off any outfit!
